Nature Day

Sizdah Be-dar is an Iranian festival that is a part of Nowruz, in other words, it is the last day of the Nowruz holiday. On this day Iranian people go out and visit environmental attractions, and they spend time with their family and friends.

Sizdah Be-dar is an excuse to pay attention to nature, in Persian legends this day is the rain day and our ancestors used to celebrate this day to give thanks and enjoy nature together. There are many traditions that people do on this specific day like cooking delicious dishes.

Playing

As I wrote you, on Sizdah Be-dar people go out. One of the common traditions is playing different games with their family and friends. For example, volleyball and pantomime are two popular games that people play together, many times, families become friends in the park, forest, and plain, and they all play group games together, share the food they are eating, and have a good time like other Iranian celebrations, this day also is a family and friendly day.

Food

Ash is an Iranian traditional food that is common, especially in Sizdah Be-dar. Many families cook Ash in nature and some people buy that from different restaurants, on this day, some people cook and sell Ash in the street. In addition, people take a ready cooked food with their selves and a lot of snacks and drinks for spending time and enjoying nature. Joojeh Kabab is a famous and special food among people for Sizdah Be-dar they buy ready-made seasoned chicken from the shops and grill the chickens in nature on the barbecues that exist in forests.

Caring for nature

On Nature Day, many people help nature, for instance, people collect the garbage that was thrown in nature by following the hygiene rules. some people plant plants and all people try to take care of nature when they go to the heart of nature. Sizdah Be-dar is related to our environment and on this day we have to take care of nature and give thanks for this beautiful gift.

The great celebration of Nowruz needs a happy ending so that everything is complete, for this reason, on the last day of the new year, people go to nature, for example, the sea and jungles to fulfill the tradition of Sizdah Be-dar, and make the best memory of the last day of Nowruz with who their loves them by gathering, laughing, and playing game.
