Koobideh is an classic dish that has been documented in Iranian cuisine history and even has its own cookbook. Some people believe that Kabab came from Tabriz (a city in Iran), and some believe that it is related to a historical period of Qajar and Naser al-Din shah.

Is Kebab Iranian or Turkish?

Kabab Koobideh is an Iranian food and in Turkey, there is a Kebab called Adana, which is very similar to Iranian Koobideh in its shape, taste, and recipe. Iranian and Turkish people have a lot of similar food that Kebab is one of them.

Let’s find out what is Koobideh made from?

Ingredients:

. 1 pound ground lamb or beef

. 1 onion, grated

. 1 teaspoon turmeric

. Salt and pepper to taste

. Tomatoes

. Sumac – optional, for garnish

First, bring a bowl, and pour the ground meat I recommend you use fatty meat, if you want to have a tastier Kabab, choose fattier meat. Add grated onion, turmeric, salt, and pepper until well combined.

When your Ingredients mix well, let that sit for about 1 hour to let the flavors meld. Koobideh kababs are typically prepared on a barbecue, but they can also be grilled. Preheat a grill or broiler.

Take a handful of the meat mixture and mold it onto flat skewers, shaping it into long, cylindrical Kababs. Grill the Kababs for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally until they are fully cooked.

Kabab Koobideh has another name that is Chelo Kabab (Kabab with rice) and people always eat Koobide with grilled tomatoes and rice. As a result, cook some rice and prepare saffron rice too for serving with your Kababs.

Also, grill some tomatoes with Kababs in the barbecue. Serve the Kababs with rice and tomatoes. As well as you can serve Kabab Koobideh with Naan (bread) and make Koobideh sandwiches.
